Paris Toon is an American music producer, songwriter, and lyricist. He is the founder of the musical collective Mothers Favorite Child, which performs in genres including neo soul, R&B, funk, jazz, hip-hop, and soul. The single Purple Funk (featuring CeCe Peniston), produced and co-written by Toon, peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot Singles Sales chart in July 2017.
Toon has production and songwriting credits with artists including George Benson, Carl Cox, Robin S., CeCe Peniston, and Adina Howard. His work has involved collaborations with record labels such as Spectra Music Group, Atlantic Records, Warner Bros, and Island Def Jam.
Toon has cited Prince, Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, James Brown, Dr. Dre, and Kanye West which are among his musical influences. In 2024, Toon delivered a keynote presentation at the Music Exchange (#MEX24) conference in South Africa.
