Papuamides A and B are depsipeptides which appear to protect T cells from HIV. They were isolated from the sponge Theonella, and are part of a larger group of structurally similar depsipeptidesâÂÂalso isolated from spongesâÂÂincluding neamphamide A, callipeltin A, and mirabamides A-D.
