The Okhla Assembly constituency is one of the seventy Delhi assembly constituencies of Delhi in northern India. The Okhla assembly constituency is a part of East Delhi (Lok Sabha constituency). Okhla Assembly includes Shaheen Bagh, Zakir Nagar, Okhla Vihar, Madanpur Khadar village, Khizrabad village, Jasola village, Aali village and Taimoor Nagar.
Asif Muhammad Khan (born 8 February 1961) is a significant political figure from the Okhla constituency. He has served as a Member of the Delhi Legislative Assembly twice (Fourth and Fifth Assembly). His political career in Okhla is notable for winning the 2009 by-election on a Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) ticket and later winning the 2013 assembly election as an Indian National Congress candidate. Known for his grassroots connect, he has been a vocal representative for the development of the Trans-Yamuna and Okhla regions.
