Negomir is a commune in Gorj County, Oltenia, Romania. It is composed of ten villages: Artanu, Bohorel, CondeieÃÂti, Negomir, Nucetu, Orzu, Paltinu, Raci, Ursoaia, and Valea Racilor.
The commune lies on the , at an altitude of , on the banks of the river JilÃÂul Mic. It is located in the southwestern part of Gorj County, east of the city of Motru and southwest of the county seat, Târgu Jiu. Negomir borders the following localities: FÃÂrcÃÂÃÂeÃÂti commune to the north and east; Urdari commune and the town of Turceni to the east; BorÃÂscu commune to the south; MÃÂtÃÂsari commune to the north-west; and DrÃÂgoteÃÂti and BolboÃÂi communes to the west.
