Nara 1st district (å¥Âè¯[çÂÂ第]1åº Nara[-ken dai-]ikku) is a single-member electoral district for the House of Representatives, the lower house of the National Diet of Japan, located in Nara Prefecture. The district consists of the city of Ikoma and the prefectural capital Nara City (without the former village of Tsuge that is in Nara 2nd district).
The district has been frequently represented by Sumio Mabuchi who was a minister of state in the Kan Cabinet in from 2010 to 2011.
