NGC673 is an intermediate spiral galaxy in the constellation of Aries. Its velocity with respect to the cosmic microwave background is 4894 ñ 20km/s, which corresponds to a Hubble distance of . In addition, 31 non redshift measurements give a closer distance of . The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel on 4 September 1786.
According to A.M. Garcia, NGC 673 is the namesake of the NGC 673 Group (also known as LGG 31). This group contains at least 17 galaxies, including , , NGC 665, NGC 677, , and 11 galaxies from the UGC catalogue.
