Munduruku languages

The MundurukÃÂº languages of Brazil form a branch of the Tupian language family. They are Munduruku and the extinct KuruÃÂ¡ya.

Varieties

Loukotka (1968) lists the following names for MundurucÃÂº language varieties, including names of unattested varieties.

MundurucÃÂº / PaiquizÃÂ© / Pari / WeidÃÂ©ÃÂ±e - originally spoken along the TapajÃÂ³s River, now on the UrariÃÂ¡ River and MauÃÂ©-assÃÂº River, Amazonas.
KuruÃÂ¡ya / Caravare / Curivere / Guahuara / Curuapa - spoken on the Curua River, now perhaps extinct.
