Mumtaz Hussain is a retired two-star general in Pakistan Army, who lastly served as Director General of Personal Pakistan Ordnance Factories, assigned at Wah Cantonment, before retiring in 2025.
Hussain was commissioned into the 8 Punjab Regiment through 82nd PMA Long Course. In 2018, he was promoted from Brigadier to the rank of Major General.
As a two star general, he served as GOC of the 7th Infantry Division. In 2019, he was appointed General officer commanding Special Service Group (SSG). Later, he served as DG Security and Garrison of XII Corps.
He also served as the DG of Personal Pakistan Ordnance Factories in Wah Cantt till his retirement.
He has been awarded with Hilal-i-Imtiaz for his services in the army from the President of Pakistan Arif Alvi. He is recipient of Tamgha-i-Basalat and Golden Wound Strip as well.
