Metamour, sometimes spelled metamor, is a general term used to refer to an individual who is the lover of oneâÂÂs lover, or partner of oneâÂÂs partner, whom one is not directly romantically involved with. Examples could include the girlfriend of oneâÂÂs husband, or the boyfriend of oneâÂÂs boyfriend. It is a term that is commonly used within polyamorous communities.
