Metagenes () was an Athenian comic poet of the Old Comedy, contemporary with Aristophanes, Phrynichus, and Plato. The Suda gives the following titles of his plays: ÃÂá½ÂÃÂñù, ÃÂñüüìúàøÿÃÂ, ÃÂÿàÃÂùÿÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂñù, æùûÿøÃÂÃÂ÷ÃÂ, á½Âü÷ÃÂÿàἢ á¼ÂÃÂú÷ÃÂñï, some of which appear to be corrupt.
