Merve Kenger (born 10 October 1993) is a Turkish freestyle wrestler, physical education teacher, and international wrestling referee. She won one of the bronze medals in the women's freestyle 53 kg event at the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Kenger was born in Kahramanmaraà  on 10 October 1993. She began wrestling together with her sister Büà Âra Kenger, encouraged by their father Süleyman Kenger, who was also a wrestler.
At youth level, Kenger won the bronze medal in the 38 kg event at the 2008 European Cadet Championships and another bronze medal in the 43 kg event at the 2009 European Cadet Championships. In 2012, she won the bronze medal at the 2012 Yasar Dogu Tournament in Ankara in the 48 kg division and the silver medal in the women's freestyle 51 kg event at the 2012 World Junior Wrestling Championships in Pattaya, Thailand.
In 2014, she competed in the women's freestyle 53 kg event at the 2014 World Wrestling Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. At the 2015 European Games in Baku, she lost her opening bout to Azerbaijan's Anzhela Dorogan, advanced to repechage after Dorogan reached the final, defeated Hungary's Mercedesz Dénes 4âÂÂ0, and then beat Moldova's Natalia Budu by fall in the bronze medal bout after trailing 6âÂÂ4. She also competed in the women's freestyle 53 kg event at the 2015 World Wrestling Championships in Las Vegas, United States.
After retiring from competition, Kenger worked as a physical education teacher and became an international wrestling referee.
