Mehdinlu () is a village in Shurakat-e Jonubi Rural District of Ilkhchi District in Osku County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 741 in 185 households. The following census in 2011 counted 897 people in 233 households. The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 937 people in 269 households.
The village is situated at an elevation of 1,287 meters (4,222 feet) above sea level, placing it within a moderately elevated zone typical of the region's landscape. It lies within a rural upland area of the East Azerbaijan Plateau, a geological complex mountainous region characterized by fold-and-thrust formations and interior highlands.
This terrain creates a setting of gently undulating plateaus and surrounding hills, with Mehdinlu located near neighboring villages such as Zeyn ol Hajjilu, roughly 3.5 km to the east, and Marjanlu, about 4 km to the south. Nearby settlements like Shellaalu and Satellu further connect it to the wider rural network of Osku County. Administratively, Mehdinlu is part of Osku County in East Azerbaijan Province, and is situated close to landmarks such as the Islamic Azad University, Ilkhchi branch. The village is also known by various Romanized forms, including Mahdënlà «, Mehdënlà «, and Mehdëlà «, alongside its Persian name.
