Lunca Bradului (, <small>Hungarian pronunciation</small>: ) is a commune in MureàCounty, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of three villages: Lunca Bradului, Neagra (Nyágra), and SÃÂlard (Szalárd).
The commune is situated at the foot of the CÃÂlimani and Gurghiu mountains, at an altitude of about . It lies on the banks of the river MureÃÂ and its tributaries, the rivers Ilva and SÃÂlard. The CÃÂlimani National Park and the Defileul MureÃÂului Superior Natural Park are partly located on the territory of the commune.
Lunca Bradului is located in the northeastern extremity of MureàCounty, from Reghin and from the county seat, Târgu MureÃÂ, on the border with the BistriÃÂa-NÃÂsÃÂud and Suceava counties. It is crossed west to east by national road (part of European route E578), which connects Transylvania (starting in Turda) to Western Moldavia (ending in BacÃÂu). The Lunca Bradului train station serves the CFR Main Line 400, which connects BraÃÂov with Baia Mare and Satu Mare.
At the 2021 census, the commune had a population of 1,666, of which 80.73% were Romanians, 8.34% Hungarians, and 4.32% Roma.
