Liu Bin (; born November 1971) is a Chinese diplomat and senior Chinese Communist Party (CCP) official. He currently serves as Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, CCP Committee Member, and DirectorâÂÂGeneral of the .
Liu joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1993 and initially worked in the Department of Eurasian Affairs. He served as Third Secretary at the Chinese Embassy in Ukraine and as Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan. In 2007, he was appointed Vice District Chief of Lanshan, Rizhao, Shandong Province.
He returned to the Ministry in 2008, rejoining the Department of Eurasian Affairs and rising to Deputy DirectorâÂÂGeneral in 2015. In December 2018, Liu was appointed Ambassador to Tajikistan, serving until September 2021. He then returned as DirectorâÂÂGeneral of the Department (2021âÂÂ2024). In 2024, he was promoted to Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs.
