The following is a list of writing systems that are used in Indonesia.

<small>Foreign: writing systems that are not managed by the government of Indonesia, mainly used by the descendants of the respective ethnicities or by foreigners residing in Indonesia.</small>
<small>Extinct: writing systems that are extinct, no longer used regularly, or only used in special occasions, like, funeral (tombstone), poetry, rituals, etc.</small>
