List of storms named Nock-ten

The name Nock-ten (Lao: ນົກເຕັນ, ]) has been used for three tropical cyclones in the western North Pacific Ocean. The name was contributed by Laos and means kingfisher in Lao.

The name Nock-ten was retired following the 2016 Pacific typhoon season and was replaced with Hinnamnor (Lao: ຫີນໜາມໜໍ່, ]), which refers to Hin Namno National Park in Lao. The name was first (and only) used in 2022.

  • Typhoon Hinnamnor (2022) (T2211, 12W, Henry) - a Category 5 typhoon that struck Okinawa and the Korean Peninsula, causing 20 fatalities and $1.81 billion in damage.

The name Hinnamnor was retired following the 2022 Pacific typhoon season and was replaced with Ong-mang (Lao: ໂອງ-ມັ່ງ, ]), which means Eld's deer (Rucervus eldii) in Lao.
