In India, the Defence Research and Development Organisation is the major body that is involved in the research and development of missiles. Public sector units and some of the private organizations are involved in the manufacture of the missiles, often in collaboration with foreign manufacturers. India also procures missiles from foreign manufacturers and agencies.
