The Liberty Local School District is a school district located in Liberty Township, Trumbull County, Ohio. The school district serves one high school, one middle school and one elementary school.
The Liberty Local School District formed sometime in the early 20th century, with the consolidation of several one-room school buildings.
In July 2011, the Liberty Local School District declared a fiscal emergency due to financial challenges it faced at the time, laying off nearly two dozen employees. The district ended their fiscal emergency in 2014.
Liberty's former high school was closed in 1999. It transformed into a community recreation center in 2018.
The district consists of three schools.
