The Leader of the Opposition (Nepali: à ¤µà ¤¿à ¤ªà ¤Âà ¥Âà ¤·à ¥ à ¤¨à ¥Âà ¤¤à ¤¾) is an elected member of the Pratinidhi Sabha, who leads the official opposition in the lower house of the federal parliament. The leader of the opposition is the parliamentary party leader of the political party with the largest number of seats in the house but not in government. The position is currently vacant since 12 September 2025, following the dissolution of the Pratinidhi Sabha by the president in the aftermath of the Gen Z protests.
