Lawrence Melvin Henry Webb (6 May 1924 â 29 March 2026) was a Welsh actor known for his roles in television series such as Doctor Who, Paul Temple and Doomwatch.
During the Second World War, Webb served in the British Army as a sergeant major with the Royal Corps of Signals. Stationed in France and Germany during the conflict, he was discharged on 24 August 1947 and awarded with medals on 7 July 1950.
Webb played Mr. Ollis in the 10th anniversary serial The Three Doctors (1972âÂÂ1973).
He celebrated his 100th birthday on 6 May 2024 and became the oldest living person associated with the Whoniverse after Arnold Yarrow's death in December of the same year.
Webb, an avid golfer, celebrated his centenary by playing nine holes of golf at Pyrford Lakes Golf Club as a fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society.
On 31 May 2025, he attended a signing event in Chiswick with fellow Doctor Who actor Katy Manning.
Webb died on 29 March 2026, at the age of 101.
