Lamogai is an Austronesian language spoken by about 3600 individuals in parts of West New Britain Province, Papua New Guinea on the island of New Britain.
Phonology

- The nasal consonants /m n Ã
Â/ appear as prenasalised voiced stops [mb nd Ã
Âg] before /r/.
- The voiced stops /b d g/ frequently manifest as fricatives [ò ù ã] after vowels.
- /r/ is voiceless [rÃÂ¥] word-finally.
- Sonorants /r l m n Ã
Â/ are voiceless [rÃÂ¥ lÃÂ¥ mÃÂ¥ nÃÂ¥ Ã
ÂÃÂ] in clusters after voiceless stops.
- /i/ sporadically manifests as [ï] before /r/.
Stress tends to occur in penultimate position.
