Lam Vien Square () is the central square of the former city of Da Lat, Lâm ÃÂá»Âng Province. It has become one of Da Lat's most popular public spaces and a major venue for cultural and tourism events, including Dalat Flower Festival.
In its early days, the square was named ÃÂàLạt Central Square (Quảng trðá»Âng Trung tâm ÃÂàLạt) and it still used as an colloquial name. On November 10, 2011, the People's Council of ÃÂàLạt City approved its official name as Lâm Viên Square. The name recalls ÃÂàLạt's location on the Lâm Viên Plateau as well as the former Lâm Viên province before merged with ÃÂá»Âng Nai Thðợng province to become Lâm ÃÂá»Âng province.
Lam Vien Square is located on the southern side of Xuân Hðáng Lake, surrounded by Trần Quá»Âc Toản Street.
This landmark was constructed with an impressive budget of 681 billion VND (nearly 30 million USD) and has the capacity to hold around 60,000 people.
