Khalong Tibetan (or Khalung; also known as Rdo or Rdoskad) is a Tibetic language of Sichuan, China, once considered a dialect of Khams. It is spoken in Zamtang County of Ngawa Prefecture. Phonological and grammatical details reflect a Showu (Gyarong) substrate.
It is spoken at Khalung Village (å¡é¾ÂæÂÂ) of Bugrje Township (å¾ä¾Â乡), and Rkamdaâ (å²Âæ¨达), Mesmdaâ (æÂÂè¾¾), and Bragmgo (ç« å Â) villages of Rkamdaâ Township (å²Âæ¨达乡) along the lower Rdokhog River (æÂÂç§Âæ²³) of central Dzamthang County (壤å¡Âå¿) in Rngaba Prefecture (é¿åÂÂå·Â). The closely related Gserpa language is spoken just to the west of the Khalong-speaking area.
