Constantin Daicoviciu (until 1973 CÃÂvÃÂran; ) is a commune in CaraÃÂ-Severin County, western Romania with a population of 2,946 people. It is composed of six villages: Constantin Daicoviciu, Maciova (Mácsova), Mâtnicu Mare (Nagymutnok), PeÃÂtere (Krassóbarlang), Prisaca (Gyepesfalu) and ZÃÂgujeni (Zaguzsén). It is situated in the historical region of Banat.
The commune is located in the northern part of the county, at a distance of from CaransebeÃÂ and from the county seat, ReÃÂiÃÂa.
Constantin Daicoviciu is situated on the CÃÂile Ferate Române Line 900, which runs from Bucharest to Jimbolia.
