Kapanga alta is a species of Hahniidae spider endemic to New Zealand.
This species was described in 1970 by Ray Forster from a female specimen. The holotype is stored in Te Papa Museum under registration number AS.000003.
The female is recorded at 2.25mm in length. The carapace is pale brown with markings dorsally. The abdomen is pale brown with faint markings dorsally.
This species is only known from Fiordland, New Zealand.
Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Data Deficient" with the qualifiers of "Data Poor: Size", "Data Poor: Trend" and "One Location".
