The U.S. currently has 25 statistical areas that have been delineated by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). On July 21, 2023, the OMB delineated three combined statistical areas, seven metropolitan statistical areas, and 15 micropolitan statistical areas in Kansas. As of 2023, the largest of these is the Kansas City-Overland Park-Kansas City, MO-KS CSA, comprising the area around Kansas City, Missouri.
