Kâhta (; , ) is a city in Adñyaman Province of Turkey. It is the seat of Kâhta District. Its population is 86,232 (2021). The city is populated by Kurds from the Reà Âwan tribe.
The town is divided into the neighborhoods of Atatürk, BaÃÂlar, Bayraktar, Cami, Cumhuriyet, ÃÂobanlñ, Fatih, Fñrat, Gazi, Girne, Hürriyet, Karà Âñyaka, Menderes, à Âeyhbaba, Turanlñ, Turgut ÃÂzal, Yavuz Selim and Yeni.
Kâhta has a hot-summer Mediterranean climate (Köppen: Csa), with pronounced seasons. Summers are very hot and dry, and winters are cool and wet.
