KP Khanal

KP Khanal (born 11 January 2000) is a Nepalese social activist, optimistic & known in Nepal as the "Youngest Nepali Social Activist".

About KP Khanal

K.P. Khanal is a young social activist from Ramaroshan, Achham, Nepal, who works for a clean environment, youth empowerment, and equal rights. Coming from a simple family, he started his social work at 13, earning the nickname "the youngest social activist." Kind, brave, and smart, he keeps inspiring his community.

In 2022, Khanal inaugurate social campaigns like "Clean Kastamandap" to "Kathmandu Trash Collection" for preservation of environment.

Currently, he is the founding chairperson of Maina Devi Foundation, an NGO working with a network of nationwide volunteer and stakeholders for waste management, community awareness and youth mobilization.

In the 2026 general election, he won from Kailali 2 with 19,057 votes, defeating Pati Ram Chaudhary from Nagrik Unmukti Party.

Early life and education

Born in Achham, Khanal completed his primary education in Achham district & earned his bachelor's degree in humanities from Texas International College.
