John Pickard (writer)

John Pickard (1910–1995) was an Australian actor and writer who moved to the US in 1935 and enjoyed considerable success writing for radio in America.

Pickard broke into Australian radio as an actor and writer while still in his teens. He appeared in the film The Silence of Dean Maitland but was mostly a radio actor and writer. In America he often worked in collaboration with Frank Provo.

In 1969 they joined the faculty of Simon's Rock College and taught dramatic writing.
