James Henry Edwards (19 February 1892 – 29 March 1952) was a British-born New Zealand Communist activist and salesman. He unsuccessfully contested the electorate in the for the Communist Party of New Zealand (CPNZ); of the three candidates, he finished last. At the 1935 local-body elections he was one of three CPNZ candidates for the Auckland City Council. He was unsuccessful, polling only 13.6% but was the highest polling CPNZ candidate.
