James Webster Jr. (born August 27, 1950) is an American former football player and coach. He was a standout defensive player for the Tar Heels. He was named the Most Valuable Defensive Player in the 1971 Gator Bowl and was the recipient of the ACC's Brian Piccolo Award in 1972. He served as the head football coach at Tennessee State University from 2005 to 2009, compiling a record of 25âÂÂ31.
