Jaime Rios, (August 14, 1953 â March 20, 2019) was a Panamanian former professional boxer from 1973 to 1992.
Rios turned professional in 1973 and compiled a record of 15âÂÂ1âÂÂ1 before winning the inaugural WBA light-flyweight title by beating Venezuelan Rigoberto Marcano. He would defend the title once against Japanese contender Kazunori Tenryu, before losing it to Juan Guzman of the Dominican Republic.
Rios died in March 2019 at the age of 65.
