In November 2025, InsideHook launched a video series titled I Know A Place, exploring the best bars in New York City, featuring recommendations from Senior Editor Amanda Gabriele.
As of 2026, InsideHook features the following free newsletters:
InsideHook began in 2012 as a daily email lifestyle newsletter targeted at the "adventurous and discerning" man, based in New York City. Entrepreneur Andy Russell was inspired by a similar email newsletter, DailyCandy, whose target demographic was young women.
Russell gathered $22 million in funds to start Trigger Media Group and its first startup, InsideHook, launched in 2012. In 2013, actor Rob Lowe was the face of InsideHook L.A.'s curated email newsletter.
New York Daily News dubbed InsideHook, "A new free daily email service that provides "inspiration for driven men," adding, "Make no mistake about it, InsideHook knows what theyâÂÂre talking about."
