Ihor Kharchenko (born May 15, 1962) is a Ukrainian diplomat: an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine.
Ihor Kharchenko graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 1985 with a Master's Degree in International Relations, and in 1988 with a Doctorate in Historical Science (PhD) .

2000 â 2003 â was in office of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Deputy State Secretary, Special Envoy of Ukraine to the Balkans.
2003 â 2006 â Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Poland.
2006 â 2010 â Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the International Maritime Organization.
2010 â 2013 â Ambassador, Special Representative of Ukraine for Transnistrian Settlement.
2013 â 2020 â Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Japan.
