The Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts (Icelandic: ) was founded in 1939 under the name (The School of Industrial Arts), which was later changed to (MHÃÂ). When the Iceland University of the Arts (Icelandic: , or LHÃÂ) was established in 1999, MHÃÂ merged with the institution and became . (Arts and Design Division of LHÃÂ).
