Hypochthonella is a monotypic genus of Fulgoromorpha (planthoppers), with the single species, Hypochthonella caeca discovered from Zimbabwe. This species is the only known representative of the monotypic family Hypochthonellidae <small>China & Fennah, 1952</small>.
