Holy Cross College, Agartala

Holy Cross College, Agartala, has the distinction of being the first Catholic English Medium College in the state of Tripura, Northeast India. It was founded in 2009 by the Congregation of Holy Cross and affiliated to Tripura University (a Central University) and recognized by UGC with 2 (f) and 2 (B). Also recognized by NCTE. It began to function on 8 July 2009 with the starting of classes for BA, even though the official inauguration took place on 10 August 2009.

History

Holy Cross College is a private Catholic institution of higher learning founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross.

The main campus of the college is in Jubatara, Mohanpur Rd, Lembucherra, Debendrachandranagar, Tripura 799210

Presently it offers undergraduate programmes in

  • Humanities(B.A.): English, Political Science, Sociology, History, Psychology, Economics, Social work, Education, Kokborok
  • Commerce(B.Com): Accountancy Hons.
  • Business Administration (BBA)

  • M.A: English and Political Science

Professional programmes in

  • Business Administration (MBA)
  • Education(B.Ed)

The medium of instruction is English.
