Hierophis

Hierophis is a genus of snake in the family Colubridae. It contains the following species:

• Balkan whip snake (Hierophis gemonensis)
• Cyprus whip snake (Hierophis cypriensis)
• Green whip snake (Hierophis viridiflavus)
• Algerian whip snake (Hierophis algirus)
• European black whip snake (Hierophis carbonarius)
