Herbert Smith (rugby league, born 1915)

Herbert Smith (birth registered third 1915 – death uncertain) was an English professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1930s and 1940s. He played at club level for Batley Shamrocks, Castleford, Bramley, Batley (World War II guest), and Bradford Northern, as a , or . Herbert Smith served with army during World War II, in 1944 he was selected for the R.L. Services XV, but was unable to play due to training for the Normandy landings.
