Hassan Ouriagli (; 1962 â January 10, 2026) was a Moroccan business executive who served as the chairman and CEO of Al Mada, one of Africa's largest private investment funds, from 2014 until his death in 2026. He led the group's strategic transition and its pan-African expansion across key sectors.
Ouriagli was born in 1962 in Morocco. He graduated as an engineer from the ÃÂcole Centrale Paris and later obtained a degree from the ÃÂcole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (now ÃÂcole des Ponts ParisTech), specializing in corporate management and finance.
He joined the ONA Group in 2003 and held several senior executive positions, including General Manager of Optorg, a subsidiary specialized in industrial equipment distribution.
In September 2014, Ouriagli was appointed chairman and CEO of the Société Nationale d'Investissement (SNI). In 2018, he oversaw the rebranding of the company into "Al Mada," focusing on long-term, pan-African investments. Under his tenure, the group significantly expanded its portfolio in renewable energy, telecommunications, and banking, primarily through Attijariwafa Bank.
Ouriagli died on January 10, 2026, in Casablanca at the age of 64. Following his passing, King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolence to his family, describing him as a "high-level national competence."
