Gmina Kowal is a rural gmina in Wà Âocà Âawek County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland. Its seat is the town of Kowal, although the town is not part of the territory of the gmina.
The gmina covers an area of , and as of 2006 its total population is 4,089.
The gmina contains part of the protected area called Gostynin-Wà Âocà Âawek Landscape Park.
Gmina Kowal contains the villages and settlements of Bogusà Âawice, Czerniewiczki, Dàbrówka, DÃÂbniaki, Dobrzelewice, Dziardonice, Goà Âaszewo, Grabkowo, Grodztwo, KÃÂpka Szlachecka, Krzewent, Nakonowo, Przydatki Goà Âaszewskie, Rakutowo, Strzaà Ây, Unisà Âawice, WiÃÂsà Âawice and WiÃÂsà Âawice-Parcele.
Gmina Kowal is bordered by the town of Kowal and by the gminas of Baruchowo, Choceà Â, Lubieà  Kujawski and Wà Âocà Âawek.
