Gmina Gniew is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Tczew County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. Its seat is the town of Gniew, which lies approximately south of Tczew and south of the regional capital Gdaà Âsk.
The gmina covers an area of , and as of 2006 its total population is 15,534 (out of which the population of Gniew amounts to 6,787, and the population of the rural part of the gmina is 8,747).
Apart from the town of Gniew, Gmina Gniew contains the villages and settlements of Aplinki, Bielica, Brody, Ciepà Âe, Cierzpice, Dàbrówka, Duà ¼e Wiosà Âo, Gogolewo, Jaà ºwiska, Jeleà Â, Kolonia Ostrowicka, Kuchnia, Kursztyn, Maà Âa Karczma, Maà Âe Wiosà Âo, Nicponia, Opalenie, Ostrowite, Piaseckie Pole, Piaseczno, PieniÃ à ¼kowo, Polskie Gronowo, Póà Âwieà Â, Rakowiec, Stary Mà Âyn, Szprudowo, Tymawa, Widlice, Wielkie Walichnowy, Wielkie WyrÃÂby and Wà Âosienica.
Gmina Gniew is bordered by the gminas of Kwidzyn, Morzeszczyn, Nowe, Pelplin, Ryjewo, Sadlinki, SmÃÂtowo Graniczne and Sztum.
