Gluconacetobacter johannae is a species of acetic acid bacteria first isolated from rhizospheres and rhizoplanes of coffee plants. Its type strain is CFN-Cf55<sup>T</sup> (= ATCC 700987<sup>T</sup> = DSM 13595<sup>T</sup>).
