George Morse Collinsworth (1810âÂÂ1866) was a Texian soldier, planter, and civil servant. He came to Brazoria County in 1832, during the Revolution, and saw action in the battle of Velasco later that year. He was also involved in the capture the Mexican garrison at Goliad on October 9, 1835.
