Gayen, sometimes anglicised as Gain, is a Bengali surname found in the Indian subcontinent, mainly in West Bengal and Bangladesh. In Bengali, the title Gayen (à ¦Âà ¦¾à ¦¯à ¦¼à §Âà ¦¨) referred to anyone involved in the medieval bardic tradition, i.e. composition of poetry and music.
