Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dental Medicine of Fez

The Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dental Medicine of Fez (; FMPF) is a Moroccan public institution of higher education specializing in medical and pharmaceutical sciences. Established in 1999, it is an integral part of the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fez.

History and campus

The faculty was established in 1999 to decentralize medical education in Morocco and meet the healthcare needs of the Fez-Meknes region. It is located on the Saïs campus and operates in close partnership with the CHU Hassan II University Hospital Center, where students perform their clinical rotations and practical training.

Academic and scientific activity

FMPF is a significant hub for medical research and international scientific exchange in Morocco. The institution regularly hosts and participates in major scientific events:

  • International Colloquium on the History of Medicine: The faculty hosted the 10th edition of this international event, focusing on the preservation and study of medical heritage.
  • Professional Workshops: The faculty organizes technical training sessions, such as the Interventional Ultrasound Workshop, to enhance the clinical skills of medical practitioners.
  • National Standing: Research staff and students contribute to the National Congress of the Moroccan Society of Medical Sciences (SMSM), a key platform for healthcare development in the country.

Education

The institution provides training under the LMD framework, offering doctoral degrees in General Medicine, Pharmacy, and Dental Medicine. The educational programs are supported by a Medical Simulation Center and a central library dedicated to health sciences.
