FilipeÃÂtii de Târg is a commune in Prahova County, Muntenia, Romania. It is composed of three villages: BrÃÂtÃÂÃÂanca, FilipeÃÂtii de Târg, and MÃÂrginenii de Jos. The locality was a town until 1950.
The commune is situated towards the northern edge of the Wallachian Plain, at an altitude of , on the right bank of the Prahova River. It is located in the western part of Prahova County, west of the county seat, PloieÃÂti, on the border with DâmboviÃÂa County.
On its southern side, FilipeÃÂtii de Târg is crossed by national road , which connects PloieÃÂti to TârgoviÃÂte. The BrÃÂtÃÂÃÂanca halt serves the CFR PloieÃÂtiâÂÂTârgoviÃÂte railway.
