Euryphymus is the type genus of grasshoppers in the subfamily Euryphyminae, erected by Carl StÃÂ¥l in 1873 as a subgenus of "Calliptenus" (Euryphymus). Species have been recorded from southern Africa and Madagascar (although the known distribution may be incomplete).
