Enkephalinase

Enkephalinases are enzymes that degrade endogenous enkephalin opioid peptides. They include:

• Aminopeptidase N (APN)
• Neutral endopeptidase (NEP)
• Dipeptidyl peptidase 3 (DPP3)
• Carboxypeptidase A6 (CPA6)
• Leucyl/cystinyl aminopeptidase (LNPEP)
• Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE)
