The enzyme mannosyl-3-phosphoglycerate phosphatase (EC 3.1.3.70) catalyzes the reaction

2-O-(α-<small>D</small>-mannosyl)-3-phosphoglycerate + H<sub>2</sub>O = 2-O-(α-<small>D</small>-mannosyl)-<small>D</small>-glycerate + phosphate
